Dimensional Sampling Check

Verify the length and width of slit strips and flat sheets to ensure consistent dimensions across the entire batch. Check the tags and spray codes on steel coils and plates, confirming coil numbers, material grades, and specifications.
Material Certificate and Tag Verification Checklist
This is the most critical step in verification. The furnace number, coil number, grade, and steel mill information on the tag must exactly match those on the accompanying quality certificate—each coil must have its own corresponding documentation. The quality certificate records material composition and mechanical properties, serving as valid proof of the material's high-temperature and corrosion resistance.
Reminder: Relying solely on tags is unreliable. Only when the information on the tag, quality certificate, and physical product are consistent is it considered valid. For export orders, complete documentation is required to meet customs clearance and factory audit requirements.
Common Pitfalls in Procurement
Trap 1: Material Substitution or Mixed Grades
409L, 441, and 439 have different performance characteristics. Although common materials may look similar, they often fail to meet high-temperature and corrosion resistance standards, leading to premature rusting and failure when used in exhaust components.
