439 is a high-end upgraded version of 409L, belonging to a premium niche stainless steel grade in the exhaust category, with enhanced corrosion resistance as its key feature.
Designed for harsh coastal and humid environments, 439 offers significantly enhanced resistance to salt spray and chloride ion corrosion, effectively solving the common problem of ordinary exhaust pipes turning black and rusting through within two to three years. Its service life is nearly doubled compared to 409L, remaining rust-free and deformation-free even when exposed outdoors long-term. It is widely used in the exposed rear sections of high-end passenger cars, SUVs, and commercial vehicles, making it the premium choice for demanding driving conditions.
441 | High-Temperature Turbocharger-Specific Steel
441 is a high-performance exhaust steel grade designed specifically for turbocharged vehicles, engineered to withstand the high-temperature conditions in the engine's front section, distinguishing it from standard decorative stainless steels.
Enhanced with stabilizing alloys, it offers excellent resistance to high-temperature creep and thermal fatigue, remains stable at 600°C without oxidation or deformation, and maintains integrity under thermal cycling without weld cracking. It features superior corrosion resistance. Ideal for turbocharged vehicle manifolds, high-temperature front pipes, and commercial vehicle front exhaust systems, it meets requirements for China VI and range-extender vehicles, offering better high-temperature stability than 409L.
